Day-by-day outline

Day 1 — Mahón

Use the natural harbour for handover, provisioning and a short systems check. Mahón is worth time ashore, so there is no need to rush into a long first passage.

Day 2 — Es Grau and the north-east

In suitable weather, work north toward Es Grau and the north-eastern coast. Select the stop according to shelter and local anchoring rules.

Day 3 — Fornells

Fornells provides a useful harbour and a change from open-roadstead anchoring. It is also a sensible decision point: continue west only if the north-coast forecast remains comfortable.

Day 4 — North-coast calas or a southern alternative

With settled conditions, continue toward the north-western calas. If the north is exposed, reverse the route and use Menorca’s southern coast instead. The itinerary is successful when it responds to the island, not when it completes a diagram.

Day 5 — Ciutadella

Ciutadella offers the strongest town stop on the western side. Confirm berth arrangements early; availability can determine whether this is an overnight marina visit or a daytime call.

Day 6 — South-coast calas

Return east using one or more south-coast anchorages chosen for the conditions. Maintain a generous margin for the final return to Mahón.

Day 7 — Mahón return

Complete the final leg early enough for refuelling and the operator’s check-out procedure. Keep a fallback overnight position available if the forecast changes.
