Most of the 17 boats in the live listings were built or substantially refitted between 2022 and 2026 - only the Elan Impression 50 «Fifty Shades» (2017) and the Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 «Clipper IV» (2020) predate that window, consistent with the operator's own “young fleet” positioning. Berth counts across the fleet run from 4 on the Italyure 38 motor yacht up to 11 on the Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 catamaran, so groups from a couple up to a large family charter can generally find a matching layout.

Marina La Llotja, opposite Palma's old town

Yates Mallorca's base is Marina La Llotja (also written La Lonja), in Palma's harbour directly facing the historic old town with its bars and restaurants — a genuinely central location rather than an out-of-town marina. From Palma Airport to Marina La Llotja

One of the shortest airport transfers of any Balearic charter base — La Llotja sits right in Palma itself.

Palma Airport (PMI) is about 6.7 miles from La Llotja. A taxi covers it in around 10 minutes for roughly €25–30, and driving yourself takes the same 10 minutes if you've hired a car. Public buses (EMT Palma) also run the route roughly every 15 minutes, reaching the centre in about 10 minutes for a low fare. Source: Rome2Rio.

Because the transfer is so short, a taxi straight from arrivals is the simplest option for most guests, especially with charter luggage and provisions. A hire car is only really worth it if your plans extend well beyond the marina itself.

Being based right in La Llotja also puts Palma's cathedral (La Seu), the Passeig des Born and the city's restaurant district within easy walking distance of the pontoons — useful for a pre-charter dinner or a provisioning run without needing transport.

Where boats from Palma's old harbour can reach in a day

Realistic distances, not marketing distances.

Even a short outing from La Llotja gives the classic view of Palma's skyline and La Seu cathedral from the water — often the best photo opportunity of a Mallorca charter, and no real detour from the route toward the bay's western coves.

From Marina La Llotja, right in Palma itself, the closest easy destinations sit along the western shore of Palma Bay: Portixol and Ciutat Jardin are a short hop east, while Cala Portals Vells and the Portals Vells caves are a well-within-an-hour run west, popular for a relaxed half-day out.

For a fuller day, Illetes and Illa des Sec, further along the western shore, offer calmer anchorages once the day-tripper crowds thin out, and Port d'Andratx and the cliffs around Sa Dragonera island make for an ambitious full-day outing rewarding an early start.

Cabrera, the national park archipelago south of Mallorca, is the furthest realistic option: it requires a permit arranged in advance and a longer crossing than the bay coves, so it suits a full-day or overnight itinerary rather than a casual stop.
